This is Fukuro obi from "Nagashima Sei Textile". Nagashima Nari Textile is a long-established store in Nishijin that is famous for its technique called Takikin. Makie's technique, Takikin, is made by densely sowing fine gold powder on ground lacquer, applying transparent lacquer, then sharpening it and weaving it as Fukuro obi using advanced weaving techniques. There are scratches and stains on the foil along the marks, but I think you can still use them. Thank you for visiting our many items.
